Vishrooms are mystical mushrooms that are often found in magical forests. They have no purpose in crafting.
These mushrooms give off a purple particle effect that gives them the appearance of dripping a glowing magical fluid.
Obtaining[]
Breaking[]
Vishrooms, like vanilla Minecraft's brown and tan mushrooms, can be instantly broken with any item or by hand.
They will also break when liquids like water or flux goo run over them, or if a piston extends or pushes a block into their location.
Natural generation[]
Vishrooms generate rarely on grass blocks exclusively in the magical forest biome. Similar to shimmerleafs in this biome, vishrooms will only generate directly adjacent to the bases of trees of any variety, making them quite rare. Up to 8 vishrooms will attempt to generate in each chunk by randomly selecting 8 locations at the surface. However, due to the stringent spawning requirements, most of these attempts will fail, making vishrooms somewhat rare in practice.
Usage[]

Three vishrooms growing around the base of a silverwood tree.
Vishrooms can be planted as decoration on any solid block surface, though without the restriction of light level.
Vishrooms cannot be grown into larger mushrooms with bone meal or the Hoe of Growth.
Light source[]
Vishrooms emit a light level of 7, similar to that of a redstone torch. It shares this behavior with shimmerleafs, cinderpearls, and silverwood saplings.
Nausea[]
Standing inside of a vishroom block will inflict the nausea status effect on the player for 10 seconds.
Unlike many other sources of negative effects in Thaumcraft, this can be counteracted like any other effect by drinking a bucket of milk.
